In design school at the University of Kansas when my friends and I stayed up all night to complete a project, we called it a "designathon". When I went into business as a freelance graphic designer in 1993 I found that those old habits hadn't died - I was a night person and I worked best during the wee hours. So I adopted the old joke as my nom de biz, spelled it semi-phonetically for pizzaz and printed it on my business cards.

So DEZINATHON is just me. I work from my home office and most of my business comes by referral from happy customers, many of whom have become friends during the process. Low key, high concept is the philosphy around here. If you're a high-sress person you'll find me infuriating to work with. That's not to say that I don't take your schedule seriously, I just don't allow stress to motivate me - that's for someone charging you a lot more than I will.

But don't let my individual-ness scare you away. I have a network of talented photographers, writers, coders, artists and even other designers I can pull together to form a team that can compete with the best agencies and studios.
